About
Brett Hanrahan
Founder of DWEEB Development — a web development business in Alberta building fast, custom sites for small businesses that would rather own their website than rent it.

Background
My day job is supporting software and tools for an emergency dispatch centre. I spent eight years using the software before I started supporting it. Every day is spent translating between what a user describes, what they're actually trying to accomplish, and the most direct way to get them there.
Alongside that, I provide technical support to seniors. That work has made me deliberate about explaining the problem and the solution in plain language. You'll get that same standard here — a clear explanation of what was built and how to use it.
How I work
The same process as the day job, applied to the web: understand the problem, define the outcome, and build the simplest thing that gets there.
We start with the problem
I sit down with you to work out what the site has to accomplish for your business and for your customers. Nothing gets designed before that's clear.
A plan before any code
I map out how the site should work — written up as user stories where the project calls for it — so we agree on what's being built before it's built.
A quote with no surprises
You get a detailed quote in plain language: what I'm building, a rough layout and design direction, a timeline, and what it will cost. No jargon, and no line items you need decoded.
Support after launch
The site is yours at launch — the code, the domain, all of it. No retainer, no platform lock-in. I stay on for the adjustments you find once it's live, and where there's a clear opportunity to let you manage part of the site yourself, I'll build that in.
Let's talk about your business
Tell me what you're trying to accomplish and I'll help you get there.
